LYNNE MAYO
I am a
midwife with a lifetimes experience, and have started a new venture,
Ante Natal Xtra.
I felt there was a need for something extra to be provided for women in
pregnancy, and their partners. The recent constraints within the NHS mean that
midwives no longer have the amount of time they would like for more information
and support.
I am providing a personalised service to address your particular concerns and
questions. Ante Natal Xtra
has a variety of sessions.
Early days,
preparation
package, 2 becomes 3
and refresher
session are the groups, but I can also provide one to one at home. Some
pregnancies have complications, you may have twins, you may have had a
complication with a previous birth the list is endless but I can be of
assistance.
I wish to take the panic out of the process, provide you with information and coping skills to enable you to birth with confidence.
I am married and have 2 sons.
I have seen many changes over the years but I am still humbled by the strength, beauty, and miracle of pregnancy and childbirth.
Each woman is unique as are her babies and family. Life is constantly changing and evolving - and pregnancy, birth and new babies keep happening. This need not be a time of fear, or dread. It should be exciting, and a time of joy and fulfilment.
I don’t possess the Holy Grail but I hope I can take the panic out of the process.
Midwife means ‘with woman’, and that is my expertise.
I have worked in hospitals, at birth centres, in the community at home, in this country and overseas.
My teaching has ranged from antenatal classes, student mentorship, to Advisory Faculty for ALSO (UK) This is an international organization teaching professionals Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics. This has broadened my experience both here and abroad. I am also a qualified Aquanatal instructor, and teach a class at the leisure centre in Andover.
I feel that there is a place for some xtra information and reassurance —
Hence...AnteNatal Xtra...to help you Birth with Confidence.
